Archaeological Site Tour

Our educational tours are 1.5-2 hours long and are led by an ARI archaeological interpreter. This tour gives visitors a chance to experience an active archaeological site, and see archaeologists and volunteers in action! Visitors will learn more about the Native cultures that came before us, find out why ARI has chosen to preserve this site, and learn what our research questions are for this excavation season. Visitors may even have the opportunity to see important archaeological artifacts unearthed. Depending upon visitor activity levels, the tour may include a short walk around the site. Visitors are encouraged to wear hiking clothes and boots.
