In the field, you’ll have the extraordinary opportunity to participate in surveys, scouting missions, and excavations. Discover the mysteries concealed beneath the surface as we unearth artifacts that hold stories from the past.
In the laboratory, we carefully analyze and interpret these precious finds discovered during our fieldwork. Through meticulous experiments and examinations, we unravel the origins and purposes of these historical objects.
Through a series of engaging activities, young participants have the opportunity to learn about the methods and techniques used by professional archaeologists during excavations.

A lab field trip aims to provide students with a hands-on experience in the laboratory, where they will uncover the fascinating stories behind ancient artifacts.
Our field trip activities vary based on the needs of your group but will include techniques and methods in excavation and survey as well as experimental archaeology.
Our volunteer opportunities range from working alongside staff archaeologists, pursuing your own historic and archaeological research or helping up with general ARI operations and events.
