Join ARI for events all summer long!
Join us for an unforgettable experience at the Archaeological Research Institute (ARI) as we bring history to life through an Augmented Reality (AR) tour. With the assistance of an ARI iPad, you will set out on a fascinating journey led by Rex, the senior “barkeologist” at ARI.
Rex, a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide, will immerse you in the world of archaeology as he takes you through the enchanting Guard Archaeological Preserve. Through cutting-edge technology, you will witness the past unfold before your eyes, gaining a deeper understanding of how archaeologists explore, research, and preserve archaeological sites.
Throughout the tour, Rex will reveal the significance of local history and the lives of the people who once inhabited the area. Using the AR technology, you will witness historical places and experiences come to life, such as a Ft. Ancient home, ancient ceremonies, traditional practices, and daily routines of past societies. Explore the layers of the past and delve into the personal stories of those who left their mark on the Guard Site.
By the end of the AR tour, you will have acquired a newfound appreciation for archaeology and its role in preserving local history. You will leave with a deeper understanding of the connection between history, culture, and the environment, as well as a sense of the immense value in preserving these treasures for future generations.
Join us at ARI and let Rex guide you through a captivating Augmented Reality tour that will transport you back in time, allowing you to explore and connect with the fascinating stories of the people who once called this region home. Get ready to em”bark” on an unforgettable adventure of discovery!
