What is AmeriCorps?
AmeriCorps is the federal agency for national service and volunteerism. AmeriCorps provides opportunities for Americans of all backgrounds to serve their country, address the nation’s most pressing challenges, improve lives and communities, and strengthen civic engagement.
What is Serve Indiana?
Serve Indiana is a division of the Department of Workforce Development for the State of Indiana. The mission of Serve Indiana is to advance service and volunteerism by informing, connecting, and promoting opportunities and resources that enrich the lives of Hoosiers. They accomplish this mission through several programs and initiatives including AmeriCorps State, Day of Service Grants, and the Awards for Excellence Ceremony. Serve Indiana provides training and technical assistance to support the ArchaeoCorps AmeriCorps program and in turn, monitors the program, its host-sites, and members to ensure compliance to federal and state grant requirements.
What is ArchaeoCorps?
ArchaeoCorps is an AmeriCorps program led by The Archaeological Research Institute (ARI). The program allows members to help execute ARI’s mission of educating current and future generations about past cultures through the investigation, identification and preservation of native and non-native sites.
