From Site to Storage: Navigating Museum Careers with an Archaeology Background

In this talk, Sara will explore the transition from archaeology to museum careers for those with an interest or background in archaeology. She will discuss the degrees and opportunities she pursued to shape her experience prior to entering the museum field. Applying her experience, she’ll share insights into how archaeologists might find themselves working in various museum positions, including registrars, collections managers, and curators. Sara will also provide an overview of how archaeologists can apply their expertise in preservation, management, and interpretation of cultural materials to facilitate research and engagement with heritage via archaeological materials.

Join us beginning at 5:30 PM for happy hour, drinks, and appetizers are provided. The talk will begin promptly at 6:30 PM.
