Experimental Replication of the “Pit and Tunnel” Features from the Turner Site (33HA26) in Southwest Ohio

Join ARI in welcoming Dr. Aaron Comstock. Dr. Comstock is a board member here at ARI and an assistant professor of anthropology at the University of Louisville. 

This talk provides an overview of a recent experimental archaeology project focused on replicating and testing enigmatic thermal features from the Turner site, a Hopewell earthwork complex near Newtown, Ohio.
