In 2023, the Archaeological Research Institute (ARI) investigated three project areas on Oxbow, Inc. property.  The goals of the investigations were to identify the suspected locations of a boarding house, a Revolutionary War-era encampment known as “Rowdy Camp”, and to define the boundary of a previously-recorded archaeological site near Osprey Lake.  During this presentation, ARI will present the findings of their 2023 field season and introduce plans for 2024.
