ARI Internship Program

The internships provided by ARI (Archaeological Research Institute) present a diverse range of learning prospects and practical, hands-on experiences in the fields of Archaeology, Non-profit Operations, Marketing, Resource Development, and Education. While these positions are currently unpaid, they come with numerous benefits and have the potential to lead to future opportunities within our organization.

Individuals who meet any of the following criteria are considered eligible candidates for an internship:

  1. Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student.
  2. Currently enrolled as a graduate student.
  3. Have graduated within the past year.

 

Unless specified differently in the position description, internships generally require a time commitment of 10 weeks, which is approximately 2 and a half months.

The general terms for internships are outlined below:

  • Summer Internships: Typically held from June to August.
  • Fall Internships: Usually scheduled from October to December.
  • Spring Internships: Generally taking place from March to May.

The start and end dates, as well as the hours of internships, may vary depending on the specific assignment. Please refer to the internship descriptions for more detailed information.

Volunteer

Our volunteer opportunities range from working alongside staff archaeologists, pursuing your own historic and archaeological research or helping up with general ARI operations and events.
